We opened The Mason Jar in September 1980. Since that time it has quickly grown to be one of Tumwater's favorite breakfast and lunch places.
All of our food is cooked fresh daily and will leave you full and feeling satisfied. If you like desserts you’ll have to give ours a try. Young and old can not resist our fresh baked cookies, pies and other home-made goodies.
Our fast, friendly service allows for a quick lunch, especially as lunch “hours” seem to get shorter and shorter these days! As an added convenience you can order your lunch over the phone and it will be ready when you arrive to pick it up as a takeout order.
Come in for a meal and you’ll feel like you belong here! We’re not a luxurious dining establishment - no fancy props. At The Mason Jar you’ll be in a warm and friendly family atmosphere where your drink is served in a jar, you can use a cloth napkin, enjoy delicious high quality food, and be treated like a special guest by a friendly smiling staff - that IS The Mason Jar and you are welcome at our place!
